CHAMPLIN -- MARCELLA ROSE Age 87, who lived in Albuquerque since 1951, died October 25, 2011. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Ouellette and her husband, Mike of Antonita, Colorado, and their children, Carrie and Chance; son, Mark Champlin and his children, Jacinda of Albuquerque, Glen Champlin and wife Jennifer, and their children, Brett and Geneva Rose of Hillsboro, Oregon. Marcella, "Sally" to her family and friends, was preceded in death by her husband, John and Mark's wife, Diana. She retired after a lifelong career as an Elementary teacher for the Albuquerque Public Schools. Known as "Champ" to her teaching associates, she taught third grade and occasionally fourth grade at Montgomery and Governor Bent Elementary Schools for the majority of her teaching career. She enjoyed teaching children facing learning challenges in their early education. A Memorial service will be held in the French Funeral Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd NE, at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 6, 2011. Interment will be at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM, at 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 7, 2011.
