NORTHCUTT -- KENNETH EUGENE JR. (DA) Age 66, a resident of Elephant Butte, NM, passed away on Tuesday October 11, 2011. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Eugene Northcutt Sr.; his mother, Ida Northcutt; and sisters, Meryl Jean and Wanda Lee. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Georgette; his brother Benjamin and his wife, Bonnie; mothers-in-law Jackie Wilson and Lois Jamison of Moab, Utah; his daughters Kim Garcia, Wanda Arvizu and husband Michael, Laura Ortiz and husband Isaac; son, Woody Morris and wife Lori and son Kenneth Northcutt III; grandchildren Jasmin, Michael, Julio, Valerie, Desiree, Morgan, Miranda, Gabriel Morris and wife Vanessa, Lucy Aragon and husband John, Monique and Dennis Chavez. Also nine great-grandchildren and their best friends Bill and Joann Gunter who treated Kenneth with the utmost dignity and brought him home. We would also like to thank Leslie for always knowing what we needed, also by many other special friends and family. Also by his K-9 companions Judy, Precious and Buddy. Kenneth was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a past Bernalillo County Deputy Sheriff, after retirement he worked with the U.S.Forest Service. In addition Kenneth was a active Mason in Temple Lodge #6, a member of Scottish Rite, a dedicated Shriner, a past Director of ROJ, an Officer and Fellow of the Loyal Order of the Moose 2050 and a member of Moose Legion 134 as well as the American Legion. Kenneth passed peacefully with his wife and family at his bedside. Cancer may have taken his voice, but it could never take his spirit. Cremation has taken place and a Masonic Funeral and Memorial Service will be held at the Shrine Center located at 6600 Zuni SE on October 18th, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. A special heart felt thank you to Elizabeth Paterson with Hospice of the Sandias for being our rock and always telling us the truth, no matter how hard that truth was.
