CHAVEZ -- LONNIE V. Age 45, beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, was embraced by the Lord and taken to his heavenly home, Thursday, October 13, 2011. He was born on February 26, 1966 in Los Angeles, CA. and was a resident of Bernalillo, NM. Lonnie will be fondly remembered as an avid hunter, fisher, and Cowboys fan, who enjoyed all sports. He was preceded in death by his father, Phillip Chavez; grandmother, Felipita Lucero. Lonnie is survived by children, Vanessa Saenz and husband Jose, Adrian Archibeque and wife Alicia, and Victor Chavez and Iris Archibeque; his grandchildren, Jeryus Saenz, Audrina Archibeque, and Baby Saenz. Also surviving are his loving mother, Mary Duran; his brothers, Raymond "Dino", Phillip "Errol" and wife Pamela, and Ronnie Chavez and wife Debbie; his sister, Elizabeth Duran; and numerous loving nephews, nieces, other relatives and a host of friends. Lonnie will be greatly missed by all. Visitation will be Monday, October 17, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 301 Camino Del Pueblo, Bernalillo. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery, Bernalillo. Pallbearers will be Anthony Duran, Bobby Gutierrez, Ronnie Chavez, Santiago Chavez, Dennis Jaramillo, Rudy Jaramillo, Sammy Wiggins, Jose Saenz, Angelicia Macias.
