CHAVES -- MARY ROSE Age 86, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 12, 2011. She was born September 26, 1925 to Jose and Remedios Gomes, in Albuquerque, NM. Mrs. Chaves was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a devout Catholic and was a member of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church. Caring for her family, friends, church and community was her life's mission. She will be greatly missed by so many. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony N. Chaves; brother, Joseph Gomez; sisters, Emily Gonzalez and Ruthie Lopez. Mary is survived by her daughter, Margaret C. Lee of Albuquerque, NM; son, Anthony L. Chaves; granddaughter, Nanette (Tung) Nguyen; great-granddaughter, Antoinette R. (Justin) Garcia; great-great-granddaughters, Jocelyn Faith Garcia and Adrianna Jayden Garcia; sisters Carmen (Tony) Alcon and Cecilia (Herman) Sandoval; and brother-in-law, Pat Lopez. The Rosary will be recited on Sunday, October 16, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Rd., Rio Rancho. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 17, 2011, at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM with Fr. Gene Gries, celebrant. Inurnment will take place at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM following service.
