ORTIZ -- ALEX J. Was born in Raton, New Mexico October 13, 1964. He passed away Thursday, June 11, 2011 in Albuquerque, NM. Alex enjoyed spending time with his family. He Honorably served his country in the New Mexico Air National Guard and will be remembered as a loving son, brother, father and friend who will be greatly missed. Alex is survived by his mother, Martha Abeyta and Lalo; his daughter, Ashley Ortiz; siblings, Gabriel and wife Bethel, Sal, Steve and wife Melissa, Juanita and husband Jorge, Christina and son Patrick, Diane and Theresa; as well as many other family members and friends who loved him dearly. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Parish (St. Mary's), 619 Copper Ave NW., on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
