BARNES -- MARY LOUISE MUIR Age, 86, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, surrounded by her family. Born on December 30, 1924, in Hurley, New Mexico, she spent her early years in mining towns in Colorado and New Mexico. Marilou moved to Albuquerque to attend Albuquerque High School, graduating in 1941, and then began a career at Albuquerque National Bank where she met Paul H. Barnes who became her husband of more than 62 years. He and her eldest daughter, Sandra Joanne Barnes, predeceased her. Marilou is survived by her daughters, Emilou Barnes and her children, Paul Elliott Griswold and Kathryn Emma Elliott, and Paula Barnes-Felfeli, her husband Mitch Felfeli, and their children, Darren Barnes Felfeli, James Paul Felfeli, and Suzanne Marie Felfeli as well as her son-in law Edward D. Graham, Jr. Although Marilou's life was filled with community service activities and hobbies, especially needlework and travel, she was first and foremost a loving, devoted and selfless wife and mother who always thought of her family before herself. She will be sorely missed by all those whose lives she touched. A private family service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, July 8, 2011.
