SIMMONS -- - Barbara Jean Simmons, (78), passed after a long illness with her family at her side. She is survived by her daughters; Karen and Kathy; her grandchildren, Kiran, Josh, Kylara, Lisa and James. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Fred and her son, Randy. She was born in Albuquerque and spent her whole life in New Mexico. She was a graduate of the University of New Mexico and later went into assisting those who struggled with alcoholism and their families.
