WOMERSLEY -- Warren C. Womersley of Rio Rancho, NM was taken from us on April 26, 2011. Warren's passing was tragic and saddened all who knew him. Warren was born May 31, 1940 in New York City, NY to the late Wilfrid and Irene Womersley. After his graduation from Syosset High School Warren entered the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1963. Warren then pursued a career as a successful steam fitter and among his many accomplishments as a steam fitter was the construction of the Twin Towers in New York City. Later in life Warren opened his own business, a Carvel franchise in Jupiter, FL, which was a successful family business for approximately 20 years. Warren and his wife, Cathy, moved to New Mexico in 1997. Warren accepted a position at Los Alamos National Laboratory and worked there until his retirement. Warren is survived by his wife of 47 years, Cathy, two daughters Kerin Eberlein of Rio Rancho, NM and Nancy Womersley of Jupiter, FL; three grandchildren, Sean Mancuso, Alexandra Eberlein and Katelyn Eberlein of Rio Rancho, NM. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Heart Institute at Presbyterian Hospital. Warren's love of life, tireless commitment to his family, and his infectious smile and humor will be sorely missed by family, friends and all who knew him. The family will receive friends at the Daniels Family Funeral Services at 7601 Wyoming NE, Albuquerque, NM on April 28, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on April 29, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church on 1502 Sara Rd SE, Rio Rancho, NM Those who wish to express their condolences may do so at www.danielsfuneral.com.
