BARBERA -- Theresa Barbera, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, April 25, 2011. Theresa was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Joseph. She is survived by her son, George and wife, Marietta; daughter, Connie Mendez and husband, Jake; grandson, Ronald and wife, Madeline; granddaughter, Jennifer Elliott and husband, Rob; grandson, Colin; and five great-grandchildren. Theresa was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 28, 2011 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd. SW. A Memorial Mass will be held at 9:00 a.m., Friday, April 29, 2011 at St. Anne's Catholic Church. The family wishes to thank all of the staff at the Cuesta House for providing such excellent care for Theresa. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Theresa's name to the Alzheimers' Association New Mexico Chapter, 9500 Montgomery Blvd. Abq, NM, 87111.
