WINSTEAD -- Sharon Lee Winstead, 67, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, died Monday, April 11, 2011. Sharon was born on December 11, 1943 in Roswell, NM. She is survived by her husband, David, in Albuquerque; her son, Thomas Standifer and wife, Jessica of Sunbury, OH; two grandchildren, Jacob and Megan; her honorary daughter, Elda Alvarez of Albuquerque; brother, Paul Sorensen and wife, Edith of Roswell, NM and their two sons, Steve Sorensen and his wife, Abby, and Michael Sorensen and his wife, Mindy of Roswell, NM; and many other grand-nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her father Leslie Sorensen and mother Lorena (Newsome) Sorensen. She worked in the U.S. Civil Service as a Nuclear Data Base Analyst for the United States Air Force Inspector General Staff and with the Airborne Laser System Program Office (SPO) on Kirtland AFB, NM and retired from civil service on December 30, 2003. Cremation has taken place and interment of cremated remains will take place at Roswell, NM on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 with a private graveside service.
