MARTINEZ -- Marcos Martinez, Jr. was called to the Lord on March 11, 2011. He was born on October 24, 1931 in Las Tablas, NM to Marcos D. Martinez and Eufemia Lobato. He worked as a coal miner and was a truck driver. He was also a musician/singer. He was preceded in death by his wife Sarah; brothers Mike, Frank and Jose; son-in-law Manuel. He is survived by his brothers and sisters: Bennie, Mary, Henry and wife Loretta, Rosie and husband Leo; his children: Eileen, husband James, Jenny, Sandra, Diane, Mark, wife Darlene, Pete, Doris, and Darren; 24 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. He will always be loved and his memories will live forever in our hearts. A Rosary took place on Monday, March 14, 2011. A service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo, NM, followed by burial at Holy Family Church Cemetery in Chimayo.
