WOOD -- Della P. Wood, 79, a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2011. Mrs. Wood is survived by her daughter, Trisa A. Wood and her son, Harry John Wood and wife, Ariana; sisters, Trisa Saavedra and Dixie Ortiz; brothers, Miguel Calo Saavedra and wife, Criselda; grandchildren, Brian, Rachel, Kevin, Aaron, Jared, and Cameron; great-granddaughter, Natasha; special niece, Kate Ortiiz and husband, Joe; and several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her husband, Truman Wood, parents, Miguel and Pemiela Saavedra; brothers, Luis and Juanito Saavedra, and sister, Pauline Gonzales. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2011 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m., by Kate Ortiz and Abedon Ortiz recitors. Final visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at the Church with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers are Joe Ortiz, Faustine Farmer, Dennis Saavedra, Paul Padilla, Miguel (Calito) Gonzales, and Jason Padilla.
