PEIXOTTO -- Margaret Briggs Peixotto, 91, a resident of Albuquerque since 1963, died on February 2, 2011 after a long, exuberant and happy life which simply wore her out. She is survived by her sons, David Peixotto and his wife, Elise of Oakland, CA and Jim Peixotto and his wife, Patti of Albuquerque; her daughters, Cathy Bradford and Barbara Comstock, both of Albuquerque; her eight grandchildren, Jessica Jensen, Jack Bradford, James Peixotto, Becky Wells, David Peixotto, Elizabeth Bradford, Robert Peixotto, and Christopher Lombardi; one great-grandchild Sophia Quinones; her very best friend Harold "Vic" Vickers; and many other relatives and friends. Margaret was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jim Peixotto. She was born in 1919 in Los Angeles to Russell and Mary Briggs. Margaret graduated from the University of California, Berkeley and had a widely traveled life with her husband and four children as an Army family, until settling in Albuquerque. She especially loved time spent at the cabin that she and Jim built in the Jemez Mountains. Margaret was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place. Private services will be held at a later date. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery with her husband, Jim.
