GIPSON -- Wanda Rae (Wells) Gipson, 84, passed from this earth on January 28, 2011 after a short illness. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Bosque Farms, NM. She was born in Cheyenne, OK on December 15, 1926 to Alex J. Wells (d.1976) and to Elsie (Coon) Wells (d.1996). The family moved to NM in 1936. Wanda married C. K. (Gip) Gipson on January 30, 1943 in Estancia, NM. Two children were born, Janie (1945) and Judy (1948). She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Dee (d.2000) and Bob (d.2005), Gip (d.1996); and daughter Judy (d.2006). Judy was married to Dan Seybold. Survivors are sisters; Ida Mae (Wells) Stevenson and Juanita G. (Wells) Pierce; daughter, Janie (Gipson) Thomas and husband Jim; son-in-law, Dan Seybold; grand daughters; Lisa (Thomas) Hobbs and husband Kevan, Terri Fenley and husband Greg, Tammy (Tripp) Marksberry and husband Clint, and Elizabeth Seybold; great-grandchildren, James, Cole, and Scott and his wife Erinn Hobbs, Tyler and Katie Fenley, Tara and J. D. Marksberry, and Cheyanne Tucker; three sister-in-laws, Juanita Gipson, Eris Gipson, and Sandy Wells and a large number of friends and extended family. Wanda was a classy lady whether being a department head at Kistler-Collister, "the bedding plant lady" at Rowlands San Mateo or Wanda's Wild Flowers, a business that she and Gip owned, operated and loved. You are going to be missed. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at 2:00 p.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107.
