SCHRODER -- Verl Albert Schroder, 86, a resident of Albuquerque since 1937, died Saturday, January 29, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Billie; children, Gloria Bradshaw and husband, Keith and Thomas E. Schroder and wife, Pat; two great-granddaughters, Brittany Ann and Chantily Ingram; and other relatives and friends. Verl was preceded in death by his parents, Earl A. and Fanny E. Huston Schroder; one granddaughter, Angalie Marie Ingram; and two sisters, Minnie G. Andeberry and Pearl Fau. He was born on September 23, 1924 in Huntley, NE and moved to Albuquerque at the age of 13 where he attended Albuquerque High. Verl was a home builder and later a building supervisor with Spartan Southwest and G.T.E. Lenkurt. He was a deacon at Hermosa Baptist Church and later worked in the Bus Ministry at Del Norte Baptist Church. Verl was a loving husband, father, and grandpa and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Friends and relatives may visit French Mortuary - Wyoming Chapel, Wednesday, February 2, 2011 from 5:00 p.m., to 7:00 p.m. Services will be at French Mortuary - Wyoming Chapel, Thursday, February 3, 2011, 10:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in Verl's name.
