SCOTT -- Irene M. Scott, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011, at the age of 91. She was the daughter of the late Clifton and Evelyn Reece Crowell. Irene was born June 20, 1919, in Middletown, NY. Mrs. Scott is survived by Gardner Scott, her husband of 67 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Gardner Jr.; a brother, Elwood; and sister Edythe. Survivors include sons, Allan and wife Keri, Stanley and wife Jean, Jay and wife Pamela; daughters, Barbara and husband Walter, and Patricia and husband Daniel; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Irene met her husband, Gardner, during WWII, when they both served in the Navy. She belonged to the Roadrunner #4 Waves Unit in Albuquerque. Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., at the Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church. Interment will take place at a later date at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
