PIPER -- Sue Caroline Piper passed away in her home in Albuquerque, N.M. on December 4, 2010. The daughter of Lt. Commander Miles E. Piper, USN, and Adah M. Piper, Sue was born June 25, 1942, in Pensacola, Florida. She resided in several areas of the United States including Seattle, Washington, Corpus Christi, Texas, Norfolk, Virginia, and Plainfield, Indiana. Sue graduated high school in Plainfield, Indiana and received her bachelor's degree in Medical Technology from Indiana University. Active in her profession, she worked at several area hospitals until her retirement in 1999. Her parents preceded Sue in death; as well as her sister Ann K. O'Brien-Davis; and nephew Travis J. Mader. Sue is survived by sisters, Joan P. Mader of Galveston Texas, and Carol L. Doitchinoff of Liberty, MO.; and several nephews and nieces: Mark R. O'Brien and Kurt E. O'Brien of Florida, Amy E. Smith of Virginia, Bret M. Mader of Texas, and Erin M. Cockman and Kyle P. Doitchinoff of Missouri. A private family ceremony will be held at a later date.
