SMITH -- Franklin Smith, was born July 21, 1933 in Sebring, FL, but grew up in Adrian, GA. He passed away Sunday, December 12, 2010 in El Paso, TX where he has lived for 20 years. He proudly served in the USAF during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carrie; and children: Cheryl Burbank (Devin) of Albuquerque, NM, Daniel (Voncille) of San Antonio, TX, Eric (Cheri) of Mims, FL, Mark (Robin) of Albuquerque, NM, Robert of El Paso, TX and Lois Baumgartner (Barry) of Durango, CO; He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Mickey Keene of Oglethorpe, GA, Edward of Rector, AR, Annette Tribble of Titusville, FL, Devoe , Jr of Cochran, GA, Richard of Cochran, GA, and Phyllis Bleckley of Columbus, GA. He was buried at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m., on Friday, December 17, 2010.
