ROZZI -- John P. Rozzi Sr., "Johnny", 84, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 28, 2010. Johnny was born June 24, 1926 and was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque's Old Town. Johnny served in the United States Navy. He attended Western College and received an Associates degree. Johnny retired from Korber Electric after 43 years of service. Johnny was a wonderful husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He always had plenty of candy on hand for his grandkids. Johnny loved and fed every stray cat in the neighborhood that found his home. Johnny was a faithful follower and member of San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church. Johnny is survived by his devoted wife Eloisa, of almost 61 years; sister Eve Frazee; his loving children Terri Maez and husband Jim of Albuquerque. John Jr. and wife Diana of California, Elaine Ortiz and husband Ruben of Albuquerque and Michael Rozzi of Albuquerque; six grandchildren, Jonathan, Joy, Jamie, Daniel, Valerie and Felicia; seven great-grandchildren, Adriana, Krisha, Lorena, Anthony, Johnny, Noah, Matthew and one on the way; and ten God-children. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents; grandson Anthony; sister Elise; and brothers Eddie and Leon. Johnny touched everyone he met and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. The family would like to express a special thank you to all the staff in the Kaseman Hospice Unit. A Visitation will take place in the Chapel of Angels of Garcia Mortuary; Thursday, December 2, 2010 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Rosary to follow. A Final Viewing will take place at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church (Old Town Plaza) Friday, December 3, 2010 at 9:30 a.m., with Mass to begin at 10:30 a.m., Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
