TAYLOR -- Stephen Gary Taylor, 67, of Albuquerque, NM, prior resident of Pohatcong, NJ, died Nov. 19, 2010, after a short and valiant fight against pancreatic cancer. He was predeceased by parents, Harry P. and Sylvia Taylor. Much beloved, Stephen is survived by his daughter Corinne Taylor-Cyngiser and son-in-law Yoram Cyngiser of Los Angeles; two grandchildren, Theodore and Nova Mae of Los Angeles; his sister Karen Levine of Saint Louis; a niece Abby Podkul and her husband Bryan Podkul of Saint Louis; his wife Cristina Rogin Taylor of Lambertville, NJ; and Pookie, his faithful Black Labrador companion. Stephen realized his life-long dream of (semi)retirement in New Mexico this summer. Prior to that he ran John's Inc., a family business begun over 120 years ago in New Brunswick, NJ. Stephen will be remembered for his wit, compassion, and generosity, and for his passionate pursuits of hot air ballooning (of which he was a pilot), psychology and philosophy, photography, fine wine and fun cars, and his daily crossword puzzles. Cremation took place through French Funeral Home in Albuquerque. A memorial service will be planned for a future date. Shiva took place at his daughter's home in Los Angeles and his sister's home in Saint Louis. In memory of Stephen, donations may be made to Lodestar Dog Ranch, P.O. Box 52212, Albuquerque, NM, 87181-2212, which is involved in Labrador rescue and adoption. Condolences may be sent to: www.remembertheirstory.com.
