LOGOTHETIS -- Costas Logothetis, 79, loving husband, father and grandfather died November 24, 2010. He was born in Athens, Greece to John and Ionna Logothetis who preceded him in death. He came to the United States in 1952 to study engineering at the University of New Mexico and obtained a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering and a Masters of Science in Structural Engineering. He met and married Helen Pappas in 1957 and they enjoyed 53 years together. Costas worked for the US Government in many capacities before retiring in the late 1980's. Mr. Logothetis served as president of the St George Greek Orthodox Community for three terms and spent many hours enjoying coaching soccer, especially his sons. He is survived by his wife; his sons, John Logothetis and wife Eleni, Nick Logothetis and wife Demetra; and grandchildren, Stefanie, Stavroula and Costa; brother, George and wife Bella; and sister, Barbara; and many other family and friends. A Trisagion will be Sunday, November 28, 2010, 6:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd NE. Services being held Monday, November 29, 2010, 10:00 a.m., at St. George Greek Orthodox 308 High St. with Fr Conan Gill presiding. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Church or the charity of your choice.
