MCINTYRE -- Eugene "Mac" McIntyre, 84, long time resident of Albuquerque, NM, died peacefully at home with family around him Friday, November 19, 2010. Mac with his wife of 60 years, Joyce, owned Apaca Moving and Storage for 33 years. An avid ice hockey fan, he owned the Albuquerque Chaparral Hockey Team in the mid 1970's. Born in Sedley, Saskatchewan, Canada. At 16 moved to the US and then served in the US Navy during WWII. He is survived by his wife, Joyce; two daughters, Jane McIntyre and husband Michael Kuhn of Albuquerque, Kay Rogers and husband Brian of Albuquerque; three granddaughters, Julie Rocca of Honolulu, HI., Michelle Rocca of Honolulu, HI., Amy Kuhn of Albuquerque; sister, Dorothy Edmonds and husband Cecil of Morris, OK.; sister-in-law, Faye McIntyre of Tulsa, OK.; brother-in-law, Jim Couch and wife Norma of Okmulgee, OK., and several nieces and nephews and many friends. He loved to travel and was always ready to go somewhere, especially to eat a meal! A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at French ~ Lomas Chapel.
