MEDINA -- Gilbert E. Medina, age 84, passed away on November 6, 2010 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born in Chicon, NM to Amado and Rose Medina. Gilbert took great pride in building custom homes. He served his country proudly for the United States Army during WWII. He loved his family and took great pride in his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors and making and then flying homemade kites. Gilbert is survived by his loving wife, Odella who he's been with since 1960. He is also survived by his step-daughters, Patricia Coleman and Virginia Velarde; step-grandchildren, Carla Baade and Brian Davis, Monica Velarde-Moore, and Vincent Acevedo; step-great-grandchildren, Hannah Leigh-Baade, Jared Baade, Dylan Thompson, and Faith and Katelynn Moore. Memorial services will be held Monday, November 15, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at French - Wyoming Chapel. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
