ABEYTA -- Eddie Abeyta 1927-2010 Eddie Abeyta, 83, born in Winslow, AZ, and a resident of Belen, NM, passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2010. Eddie proudly served in the Army with the 60th Signal Service Company in Korea as a radio operator and was a member of the VFW, DAV, American Legion and the Moose Lodge. Eddie and his wife enjoyed dancing and traveling to Senior Olympic events and to his Army reunions. He also enjoyed socializing and playing pool with his friends at the Belen Senior Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvestre and Rita Abeyta and two brothers, Max and Carlos Abeyta. Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Helen Abeyta; daughter, Vicki and husband, Eddie Hurbina of Belen; and three sons, Rydell, and Jeffrey and wife, Christina Abeyta of Belen and Patrick and wife, Audrey Abeyta of Choctaw, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. The family invites friends and relatives to join them to honor Eddie on Monday, November 15, at 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Belen Recreation Center in Belen.
