GARCIA -- Jose Antonio "Tony Red", age 74, a resident of Pueblitos, N.M., peacefully passed away on Friday, October 1, 2010, surrounded by his loving family after a lengthy illness. He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. Jose was former Magistrate Judge for two years for Valencia County. He retired from the Santa Fe Railroad and the New Mexico Correctional Facility. Tony Red loved hunting, being outdoors and traveling, seeing the country. He especially loved spending time with his family and watching sports. Tony Red was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Carolina Sanchez-Garcia; sisters, Juanita and Dulcinea Garcia; son-in-law, Carlos L. Moreno and granddaughter, Jana Justin Garcia. Tony Red is survived by his daughters, Magdalena "Maggie" Garcia and Nichol Moreno; sons, Jose "Hawaiian Joey" Garcia and wife, Rosa and Andre Garcia and wife, Diane; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Edenio and Corrine Garcia, Gilbert and Mary Garcia, Pete Garcia and Sylvia Aragon-Palacio and Frank and Lupe Garcia and his sisters, Christina and Mike Gonzales and Priscilla and Isaac Tarin. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and many special friends. A visitation will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel, at 5:30 p.m., on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. A final visitation will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, at 9:00 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 7, 2010. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens. Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Chavez, Dennis Storey, Larry Castellano, Estanislado "Tane" Lopez, Remijo Garcia and Luis Garcia.
