HUTCHESON -- Carolyn K. Hutcheson, 65, resident of Mount Vernon, Illinois, died Saturday, August 21, 2010. She was born Saturday, December 16, 1944 in California, Missouri to Earl and Hattie Belle (Carroll) Brizendine. She was married to Calvin "Red" Hutcheson on February 27, 1960 in Kansas City, Missouri and he preceded her in death on April 23, 1995. There will be no Visitation. Graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Needmore Cemetery in Orchardville, Illinois. She is survived by three sons, Mark Hutcheson and wife Nora of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Rob Hutcheson and wife Tina of Mount Vernon, Illinoi, Richard Hutcheson and wife Lupe of Albuquerque, New Mexico; daughters, Carla Hutcheson and husband Roger of Marion, Illinois, Shari Jones and husband Dave of Mount Vernon, Illinois; two brothers, Kenneth Brizendine and wife Eunice of Buffalo, Missouri, Marion "Skeet" Brizendine and wife Sharon of Kansas City, Missouri; four sisters, ("Mother Figure" to Carolyn all her life): Shirley Looney of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Betty Samples of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Mary Lewis of Kansas City, Missouri, Connie Mackey of Kansas City, Missouri; former Husband and dear friend, Bob Kollar of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces; nephews; and many friends also survive. Her parents; her husband and best friend for 34 years: Calvin "Red" Hutcheson; one brother Jesse Brizendine; and one sister Betty Helen Amos preceded her in death. Carolyn owned and operated a restaurant in Bluford, Illinois for one year and also one in Albuquerque, New Mexico and she was a member of the Baptist Faith. For those who wish, memorials may be given to the Cancer Research and will be accepted at the funeral home or mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mount Vernon, Illinois 62864.
