SANTANGELO -- Vincenza "Zina" Santangelo, 78, went home to be with her Lord on July 25, 2010. She was born on August 21, 1931 in Sicily, Italy to parents Luciano and Giovanna Marchese. She immigrated to New York with her family at the age of 17. She moved to Albuquerque with her husband and children in 1971. She is survived by the love of her life for 56 years, Vito; children, Gina Seeley and husband Fred, Greg Santangelo and wife Reina, and Joann Santangelo; grandchildren, Cristopher and wife Amy, Jessica, Melissa, Melanie, Benjamin and Kenneth; great-grandson Noah; her sister Rose and husband Jack, and brothers, Diego, Joseph and Charlie; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister Maria; and brother Pat. She was an amazing seamstress, a wonderful cook and worked hard for her family her entire life. She was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother and she will be greatly missed by all. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the rosary. The Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be recited on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at French ~ Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd NE. Friends and family may visit starting at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 1, 2010. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 2, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 2621 Vermont NE with Father Bennett J. Voorhies as the celebrant. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Greg Santangelo, Fred Seeley, Cristopher Seeley, Benjamin Hobbs, Joe Marchese, Joe Santangelo, Charlie Santangelo and Jack Coraci. Thank you to Sabine Kleinert de Arreola, RN at Presbyterian Home Care, Dr. Francesco Standoli, and Amber Care Home Health CNA's for their wonderful care and dedication to our family in the last few months.
