VAN CLEVE -- Phyllis J. Van Cleve, 83, beloved wife of John for 65 years, Mother of two sons, David and Raymond (Kathie); one granddaughter, Amanda Green, and sister of Harry Newton Lasley and Family of Portland, OR., passed away, Friday, June 11, 2010 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Nellie B. Walter, and five sisters; Jeanette, Imogene, Helen, Ruby, and Catherine. Phyllis loved to volunteer and worked with underprivileged children at Alameda Elementary School in the clothing bank. She volunteered at the Osteopathic Hospital (now known as Women's Hospital). She helped others and had a real servant's heart. Memorial Services will be conducted on Thursday, June 24, 2010, 10:00 a.m. at French - University Chapel.
