CONKLE -- Eleanor Mae Conkle passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning on April 7, 2010 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Eleanor spent many years in the mountains of Northern New Mexico with her family and her beloved Sister. She gave her time to the 4-H Clubs and the Women's Extension Club and had a close circle of friends. She had been an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Conkle; daughter Carolyn Sue Thompson; and a brother Edwin Fluke. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Hendrickson of Albuquerque; sons, Kevin Kent, Larry Conkle and wife Carol; son-in-law Joseph Thompson; her grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and many family members including cousins, Cynthia and Jimmy Anally and their family in Gallup, New Mexico. Visitation will be Monday, April 12, 2010 at French ~ Lomas Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd NE from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd NE, Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
