BAUGHER -- Phyllis Marie Baugher (nee Miller), 97, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away on Friday, March 26, 2010, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born September 9, 1912, in Port Republic, Virginia, in the Shenandoah Valley. Phyllis graduated from Madison College in Harrisonburg, Virginia, in 1933, and taught for two years in one-room schools in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Growing up, Phyllis frequently visited relatives in Hershey, Pennsylvania,. In the summer of 1934, she met Earl Baugher at his cousin's party. They were married a year later, in 1935, and settled in Hershey to work and raise a family. Phyllis taught as a substitute teacher for ten years in the Hershey public schools. She then worked as a full-time elementary teacher at the Milton Hershey School, where her husband Earl also taught. She retired in 1975. She loved teaching, and many of her happiest memories were of her years in the classroom. In 1994 she moved to Sterling, Illinois, to live closer to daughter Elizabeth and her family. In 2001 the Sterling family all moved to Albuquerque where Phyllis' other daughter, Suzanne, lived. Phyllis was very unvolved in all the family activities, the visits from her grandchildren, making new friends and of course continuing her lifelong tradition of cooking wonderful meals for family and friends. The kitchen was the epicenter of her life, and her thoughts always revolved around planning menus for upcoming visits, special occasions, and family get-togethers. The family has many warm memories of enjoying her favorite meals. Phyllis was also a devoted reader, especially of the Bible, and an avid knitter. Family and friends cherish the wonderful afghans she gave as gifts through the years. Phyllis was a lifetime Christian and most recently a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband Earl in 1974; as well as three brothers; two sisters; and a son-in-law. She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Riley (Robert) and Suzanne Gaines. CRAMER -- David Wayne Cramer, nature and wildlife photographer, passed away doing what he loved on Thursday, March 25, 2010. His devoted partner, Avi Kriechman; his brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Evelyn Cramer; his brother and sister-in-law, Steven and Kathryn Cramer; his nephew Zei Cramer; his niece Aja Cramer; and numerous dear friends in New Mexico, Texas, and across the U.S. survive him. His parents, Richard and Dollie Mae Cramer; and his nephew, Kai Cramer, preceded him in death. David was born on December 18, 1951 in Dallas, Texas. He attended Southern Methodist University and Ball State University and was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy Degree by Texas A & M University in 1985. David retired from a successful and respected career as a psychologist in Austin, Texas, where he worked with individuals and groups. He moved permanently to New Mexico, where he developed his photography work and became an energetic member of the arts community in Placitas, NM. In his too brief time he earned several awards for his images of wildlife, including the Juror's Selection for the "All Things Horses" International Photography Exhibition and numerous first place awards at the Bosque del Apache Festival of the Cranes. David loved the natural world. It captured his curiosity, awe, and wonder of the immensity of life and creation. He understood our lives, in nature, as billions of ephemeral events, each one marvelous, momentary, and existing only once. The innate attunement and attention to relationship he brought to his work as a psychologist allowed him to capture those extraordinary moments for all time--moments he lovingly shared with us. He gave us insight into the intimate lives of the wild horses of Placitas and birds of the Bosque del Apache, some of his favorite subjects. Those transitory intersections of light, color and nature leave us breathless, in wonder, and in reverence for David's connection with the nature that is around us all. David's generosity, playfulness, kindness, and joy in connection remain his most lasting legacy. Celebrations of David's life will be held at the Las Placitas Presbyterian Church in Placitas, New Mexico at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 2, 2010 and at the First English Lutheran Church in Austin, Texas Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Gifts in his memory can be made to a charity of your choice.

HASEY -- Dorothy We've known lots of pleasure, At times endured our pain, We've lived in the sunshine, And walked in the rain, But now we're separated, And for that time apart, ... I will never be alone You will forever be in my heart. Blessed are those for whom "faith can absorb the shock of not knowing", who can trust in the "wisdom superior to our own" and in "the grace of invisible strands." Mom, to simply say, "I miss you"... is such a complete and total understatement... You took a part of me with you that I will try to fill with good, every single day of my life. The best part of me, came from you... Thank you... Rest in peace my Dear Mom, My Dear Friend. Dorothy J. Hasey April 20, 1930 - April 15, 2007 Love, Jan, Paul and Matt Fensterer

He is greatly beloved by his friends and family and since his hospitalization in October Jackson presided over the finest informal political, social, art and literary salon in New Mexico from his bed. He is survived by two elder brothers, Herbert William Wright Jr. and family of Arlington Texas; James Nelson Hale of Phoenix Arizona; and a younger sister, Jill Wright-Boyd and her family of Los Angeles, California; his nephew Randy Hale and family of Pasadena, California, and dozens of devoted and loving friends. It was Jackson's wish that a Memorial Fund be established for the benefit of single mothers. Please contact: www.starrypuddle.com/Jackson to donate to this fund. His heart was open in love even as his eyes closed in death. Please visit our online guestbook for Jackson at www.RememberTheirStory.com. French 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE (505) 275-3500
