RICH -- Billie Ruth Harper Rich, age 80, passed away March 30, 2010. Mrs. Rich was born August 26, 1929 in Lockney, TX, to Bill and Vera Harper. Billie graduated Carlsbad High School, Carlsbad, NM. Billie married Henry Bruce Rich, Jr. December 29, 1948. Together, they shared a life of loving and serving their Lord. Billie supported Bruce as he began his training at Wayland Baptist College. Together they served in churches in Texas, New Mexico, and Oregon. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Billie's love and devotion as wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend is what she will be most remembered for. She lives on in our hearts and will be deeply missed. Survivors include husband ,Henry Bruce Rich, Jr. of Amarillo; three daughters, Linda Siegfried and husband, Jerry of Antioch, CA, Diane Teague of Austin, TX, Jan Gilbert of Bend, OR; one son, Rodney Rich and wife, Helen of Amarillo; two sisters, Shirley Jackson Cox of Lubbock, TX, Nadine Timlin of San Antonio, TX; one brother, Kenneth Harper and wife, Georgia of Dewey, AZ; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Trinity Baptist Church, 1601 W I-40, Amarillo, TX, with Pastor Nate Magloughlin officiating. Arrangements are by Schlloer Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia. The family suggests memorials be made to BSA Hospice, PO Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79107 or Wayland Baptist University, 1900 W. 7th, Plainview, TX 79072.
