MOON -- Danny Moon was born in Atlanta, GA on May 12, 1949, to George and Rowena Moon. He is survived by his wife Lillian of 40 years; daughter, Karey Johnson, son-in-law William; grandchildren, Isiah, Noah, and Gabriellah; daughter, Kristy Peck, son-in-law Wade; grandchildren Whitney and Audrey; mother, Rowena Moon; brother, Thomas Moon; sister, Shirley Parker and her husband John. Danny proudly served his country as an Airman in Vietnam. He attended Del Norte Baptist Church where he was an active member of the Men's Sunday school class. He taught at El Dorado High School for 25 years. He also coached high school baseball and American Legion baseball for 15 years. Danny was the proud founder of Charter Vocational High School where he continued to positively impact the lives of students until his retirement in 2005. He will be profoundly missed by his family but we know he is no longer in pain and is rejoicing with his Savior. There will be a visitation for Danny on Thursday, April 8, 2010, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at French ~ Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Services will be held at Del Norte Baptist Church, 5800 Montgomery, NE on Friday, April 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., Interment will be on Monday, April 12, 2010, at 11:30 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
