OTERO -- Marvin R. Otero, age 47, a resident of Rio Rancho, NM went on to be with the Lord on March 11, 2010. He was born and raised in Los Lunas, NM. Marvin was a 1980 graduate of Los Lunas High School and received his Bachelor's Degree in Criminology from Western New Mexico University in 1984. He was a warm, devoted and loving father, brother, and son. Marvin lived for his two children, Taylor Hope and Dalton Manuel, with whom he enjoyed coaching, hunting, horseback riding and going to the ranch. He worked for the Internal Revenue Service as a Revenue Officer. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Manuel "Papa" and Josefita Otero of Valencia, NM and Arturo and Vivianita Cordova of Jarales, NM. Marvin is survived by his loving children, Taylor Hope Otero and Dalton Manuel Otero of Rio Rancho; his parents, Avilio G. "Lefty" and Edna Otero of Los Lunas; sister, Teresa A. Ogas and husband, Michael of Los Lunas; brother, Martin Otero and wife, Valerie of Los Lunas; sister, Camille Chavez and husband, Leroy of Los Lunas; Leslie Dozzo, the mother of his children; surviving nieces and nephews include, Lyndsi H. Alderete and husband, Jacob and their children Eliyah, Eliana, and Israel of Los Lunas, Jason Chavez and wife, Vanessa of Marietta, GA, Talysa C. Ogas of Los Lunas, Miguel G. Ogas of Las Vegas, NV, Isaiah Otero and Zachary Otero of Los Lunas. He is also survived by a very special uncle, Vivian Cordova. A viewing will be held at Grace Fellowship Church, 3384 Hwy 47, Los Lunas, on Monday, March 15, at 10:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Private interment will follow at the Valencia Cemetery.
