MCGLAUGHLIN -- Josie McGlaughlin, 91, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at home with her loved ones by her side on Tuesday, March 2, 2010. She was born on March 19, 1918, in Las Animas, CO. Josie is preceded in death by her husband, Bryan McGlaughlin; brothers, John Chavez, and Placido Chavez; sister, Pacomia Ronquillo; and loving daughter-in-law, Lera McGlaughlin. She is survived by sons, Jerry McGlaughlin, Kansas City, MO, and Jimmy McGlaughlin, Albuquerque; daughter, Carol and husband, Michael Martinez, Albuquerque; very special granddaughter, Nikka Martinez; beloved from-the-heart children, Lora, Sylvia, Robert and Paul; six other grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Known for her beautiful smile and sense of humor, Josie loved life. As her son always said, if you met her once, you loved her and she loved you back. She will be dearly missed. Josie was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. A special thank you to Advantage Home Health and Hospice, House Calls of New Mexico for the care, kindness, and dignity she was treated with while in your care. You will always be in our hearts. "I am finally home my loved ones, shed your tears if you must, but then dry them off and make them strengthen you in this life. We will meet again and I will be anxiously awaiting every one of you. Look for my smile!" The rosary will be recited on Thursday, March 4, 2010, 7:00 p.m., at French - Wyoming Chapel. The mass will be celebrated Friday, March 5, 2010, 9:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Road NW. Interment will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith NE.
