MALDONADO -- Constance "Connie" 52, went home to be with our Lord on Thursday, January 28, 2010. A lifetime resident of Albuquerque, Connie was born on June 3, 1957. She is preceded in death by her husband David Maldonado, brothers, Freddy A. Ortega, Sr., Bobby A. Ortega, Sr. and daughter Nicole Ortega. She is survived by her mother Mary R. Garcia, her father Benny Ortega, both of Albuquerque, her children; Angel Torrez of Albuquerque, Leroy Torrez, Jr. and wife Vanessa of AZ, Andrea Gomez and fianc Omar of Albuquerque, Veronica Trujillo of TX, Freddy Ortega, Jr.of Chicago, IL, and her Grandchildren; Anthony V., Isabella J., Zariah, Esperanza, Omar Jr., Desiree, Jada, Jacob, her sisters; Benita Garcia and husband Robert, and Angelina Anderson all of Albuquerque. Connie loved bingo and the casino; she was a loving mother who always put her children and family first. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 3, 2010 with the reciting of the Rosary by Magdalena Garcia to begin at 7:00 p.m. in the 8th Street Chapel of Garcia Mortuary.
