SMITH -- Billie Jean Smith 78, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2010. Her love of books was exceeded only by the love for her husband, her family and her dogs. She taught many children to read and believed there was nothing more delightful than their laughter. She loved a good crossword and the mysteries of the world. She was a beautiful soul with a great sense of humor. All who knew and loved her, appreciated her smile and their time with her. She will be missed everyday and remembered for a lifetime. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert. She is survived by her children, Richard Smith, Jan Silver Reagan and her husband George, Michelle McGuire, Robert Smith and his wife, Penny; her grandchildren, Nicole Sterling and Bart Phillips, Gary Reagan and wife Dawn, John Kostka and wife Casey, Dylan McGuire and Jenn Viola, Kevin Potter and wife Gina, Geoff Smith, Ian Smith, Jayson Smith and Patrick Smith; great-grandchildren, Koalbey, Braeden, Jack, Tyler, Nicholas, Brandon and Brandy; sisters, Mary Ann Simpson, Jimmie Lee Herrin and loving nieces, nephews and friends. At a private service following cremation, she will be joined with her beloved husband at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Monday, January 25, 2010.
