MIXON -- Corene ("Connie") Mixon, 81, resident of Albuquerque, NM, devoted wife and loving mother passed away peacefully at her home on January 21, 2010. She is survived by her two daughters, Linda Diane Mixon and partner Mary Schmauss and Deborah Manoogian; two granddaughters, Tracy Masterson and husband, Carrick and Valerie Baker; great-grandson, Bryant Baker along with loving friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Major Winbourn M. Mixon (Ret.) in 1999. The family would like to thank the devoted staff of Ambercare Hospice for all their care and support. Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 25, 2010 at Daniels Family - Sara Road Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM. Graveside Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Connie's name to the Animal Humane Association of New Mexico at 615 Virginia SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108.
