MARTINEZ -- Ramona Contreras Martinez, 90, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-great grandmother, went home to be with our Lord, December 28, 2009. Ramona was a lifelong resident of New Mexico, a member of First Baptist Church of Alameda. She was preceded in death by her husband Adelaido Martinez; and parents, Antonio and Transita Contreras. Ramona is survived by her children, Angelina Mora, Nora Madera and husband Polo, Dolores Garcia and husband Alex, Thomas Mares and wife Lupe, and Juanita Mares; 24 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; and one brother Tony Contreras, of Boulder, CO. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2009 at the First Baptist Church of Alameda, located at 8818 2nd St., NW, with the Funeral Service following at 1:00 p.m. also at the Church.
