WHITWELL -- Josephine Edith Whitwell, 89, a resident of Albuquerque, NM since 1999, died Monday, November 9, 2009 after a long illness. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jodie and Emil Aysseh of New Canaan, CT; and her son, Gordon and his wife, Judy of Albuquerque. Josephine has six grandsons and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Whitwell; her parents, Frank and Josephine Parizek; and brothers, Edward Parry and Frank Parizek. Josephine was born on August 17, 1920 in La Grange, IL. After the birth of her children, she lived in Northfield, IL for many years. Josephine was involved in her children's schools and participated in many charitable works. She was a graduate of the Chicago Art Institute and later became an accomplished artist, interior designer, and antiques dealer. Josephine and her husband were former residents of Greenwich, CT and Longboat Key, FL. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Josephine will be missed by all who knew and loved her. After an intimate family graveside service, Josephine will be entombed in the Patio of Angels at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Albuquerque.
