HYMES -- Larry Eugene Hymes, age 69, bid a final farewell to this world on Friday, November 13, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer with his loving family at his side. Larry is survived by his wife, Hyang Mi; son Coby; and daughter Shanna, her husband Dawson and three grandchildren, Joshua Stephen, Caleb and Mary Beth. Larry was born in Unionville, MO in 1940, to Lucy and George. Larry moved to Albuquerque in 1961, and later graduated with a master's degree from UNM. Larry was employed and retired from the Department of Energy. After retiring he started his own business, Larry's Tax Services. Larry was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing poker and spending time with his family and many lifelong friends. Larry will be missed by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place and his family and friends will hold a private service to celebrate Larry's life. He will be dearly missed.
