DUNMORE -- Bruce Anthony Dunmore, 74, passed away peacefully at home, Tuesday, October 27, 2009. Born in Brockton, MA, to Charlie and Barbara Dunmore, he grew up in Southern California and Garland, TX. He lived in Albuquerque for over 50 years. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; wife Ramona Dunmore, and his son, Richard Cordes. Bruce is survived by his sister's, Carol Bourland and husband Olin of Wichita Falls, TX and Brenda Dunmore of Dallas, TX; children, David Dunmore and wife Christine of Severn, MD, Michael Dunmore and wife Chi of Manila, Philippines, Tame Butler of Albuquerque, Shelly Phelan and husband Doug of Albuquerque; daughter-in-law, Eleanor Cordes of Houston, TX; grandchildren, James, Natalie, Matthew, Marla, Casee, Nicholas, Montana, Mariel and, Michael Bruce and great-grandchildren, Steely and Matthew. Bruce was a junior tennis champion in Southern, CA. He played football and ran track for the Garland Owls and played college football at SMU. Bruce was an Aeronautical Engineer and owned Premmco Inc - New Mexico for over 43 years. Over the years he and his business manager/friend, Susie Singer, operated several additional businesses. Bruce and Ramona traveled the world going to the Olympics and Commonwealth Games. He loved all sports and considered himself an expert in all of them. Since 1982, he and his friend Floyd Highfill have built indoor running tracks for competitive track and field. Their tracks are in facilities around the U.S, and Taiwan. His biggest enjoyment came from his racing and breeding Thoroughbred horses. With his friends and partners, Gary and Marlene Howard, of Hemet, CA. he purchased a stallion, Stormy Jack. They were thrilled when Bob Black Jack, a son of Stormy Jack, ran in the 2008 Kentucky Derby. Bruce has many, many life long friends. He loved his friends and loved life.
