WHITE -- Charles P. White, 81, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Pearl White; daughter, Marian White; grandson, Jacob Swisher; and great-granddaughters, Makaela and Nichole Swisher. He was preceded in death by his son, Charles E. White. Charlie served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After returning home from war, he joined the New Mexico National Guard. Charlie retired after working over 40 years for J.D. Coggins & Border Machinery. After retirement, he enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. A graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 9, 2009, with Scot Thrugood officiating.
