SALLOT -- Diane Lynn Sallot, 65, loving and devoted wife and mother, passed away, Tuesday, September 8, 2009, after a brief illness. She is survived by her loving family, husband, Stephen Sallot III; daughter, Jennifer Wilmer and her husband Hans; son, Stephen Sallot IV; nieces, Karen, Christy, and Heather; nephew, Craig, and sister-in-law, Edie Doherty. Diane was preceded in death by her parents Bernard and Jane Haas and her brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Nancy Haas. Diane was born and raised in Chicago, IL. She attended Steinmetz high school and then completed her education at business school and The Art Institute. Upon commencement she worked for the Social Security Administration and the Brunswick Corporation. She then started her own aluminum siding installation business, providing service for such major corporations as US Steel and Sears. She met and married Stephen in 1975. After being married she sold her business and devoted her life to her family. Diane's family lived in many cities in Illinois and Texas before settling in Albuquerque, NM. She was a life long supporter of humane treatment of animals, belonging to SPCA, World Wildlife and Alley Cat Allies. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Lomas location on Sunday, September 13, 2009 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will also take place at French Mortuary, Lomas location on Monday, September 14, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. No graveside services will follow the funeral service.
