ROMO -- Manuel J., 79, a resident of Albuquerque, went home to be with our Heavenly Father, Saturday, August 15, 2009. Manuel is predeceased by his parents Justo and Maria Estella (Castillo) Romo, and his brothers Cerafin Romo and Gilberto Romo. He is survived by his beloved wife of more than 55 years, Josephine (Herrera) Romo, his children; Thomas Richard Romo, David George Romo and wife MaryAnne and Joseph Alfred Romo and his wife Gloria. Grandchildren; Justin Romo and wife April, Jocinda Romo, Katrina Romo, Andrea Romo, Angelique Romo, and great grandchildren; Alicia, Tessia, and Yuri Justin, his sister Ida Maestas , and his brother Ricky Romo and his wife Lugi. Manuel loved playing his guitar, and fixing watches, he enjoyed the intricacy of the watch movements. Manuel's greatest joy in life was the time he spent with his grandchildren and he spent a great deal of time sharing his stories with them. His Passion was caring for his wife and family. A Visitation will be from 5 p.m. 7 p.m., Tuesday, August 18, 2009, in the 8th Street Chapel of Garcia Mortuary with the Rosary being recited at 7 p.m.. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with interment following at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Tommy Romo, David Romo, Joseph Romo, Justin Romo, Dick Cordova, Lawrence Perea and Dennis Romo will serve as honorary pallbearer.
