HOTCHKISS -- Yvonne Yolanda Hotchkiss, 92, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, has left her earthly home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 12, 2009. Yvonne was born May 15, 1917 the daughter of Clarence and Ruby Tefft Dahms in Perry Depot, now known as Wayne, Ohio. She was the oldest of seven children. Yvonne resided in the Albuquerque and Rio Rancho area for approximately 46 years. She worked for the State of New Mexico and in Real Estate. She also owned and worked on several dairy farms in Ohio with her first husband until his death. In life she enjoyed dancing, cooking, flowers, sewing, and her greatest enjoyment was traveling to China, Germany, England, Hawaii, Bahamas and many other places of interest. Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Russell Dahms of Tiffin, OH, Dick Dahms of Fremont, OH, Ansel Dahms of Rising Sun, OH; granddaughter, Paula Pickett of McComb, OH; her first husband George William Brown of Greenwich, OH, second husband Wendell Hotchkiss of Rio Rancho; and a companion, Vincent Martinez of Rio Rancho. Yvonne is survived by six children of her own plus a step daughter. Sandra Bethel of McComb, OH, Bill Brown of Rio Rancho, NM, Jerry Brown of Albuquerque, NM, Gene Brown and wife Anita of Rio Rancho, NM, Vicki Barnthouse and husband Hager of Rotonda West, Florida, Jan Brown and wife Kay of Regina, NM, and step-daughter, Joyce Ferril and husband Jym of Albuquerque, NM; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren; sisters, Rosemary Coppler of South Carolina, Kay Drake and Virginia Gelski of Fostoria, OH. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones and many friends. The visitation will be held on Monday, August 17, 2009 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. The Service will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Rd. Chapel. Interment will follow in Vista Verde Memorial Park.
