CASAUS -- Robert "Bobby" Max Casaus, 62, a native of Albuquerque, NM, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 12, 2009. He is survived by his daughter Roberta Max Casaus; daughter Cassandra Dee Casaus Currie and husband, Brandon; and son Shawn Franklin Casaus; grandchildren, Samantha Dawn Casaus, Sterling Grayson Currie, Sophia Magdalena Currie, and Ava Shawna Casaus; parents, Max and Carmen Casaus; sister, Margie Clark; and numerous other relatives and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Juan Casaus. Robert was born on September 1, 1946 in Albuquerque and graduated from Valley High School. He attended Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, NM and was married to Evangeline B. Casaus, the mother of his children, for many years. Robert was the Chief Financial Officer for the Southwest Region of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service until he retired after 33 years of service. He was an avid traveler and adventurer who loved the outdoors. Robert was passionate about his family, education, chess, reading, hang gliding, and the art of bull fighting. He was a brilliant, witty, and compassionate man who people sought out for advice and direction. Robert was a loving father, grandfather, son and brother and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
