JARAMILLO -- Fileberto Jaramillo, 85, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on July 30, 2009. Mr. Jaramillo is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Mrs. Aurora (Dora) Jaramillo; his daughter, Linda Jaramillo; his son, Leroy Quintana; grandchildren, Sandra Islas and husband, Ruben, Elisa Quintana, and Jose Quintana; three great-grandchildren, Sophia Islas, Jacqueline Islas and Ella Islas; and many other extended family members. Mr. Jaramillo was a member of the Catholic Church; a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WW II, his battles and campaigns were in Central Europe, Rhineland, Normandy, Northern France with his organization, the 813th Tank Destroyer Battalion. Visitation will be Monday, August 3, 2009 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Mrs. Martha Herrera. Final visitation will be Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 412 Stover SW from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Father James Moore, presider. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Leroy Quintana, Eli Tafoya, Larry Tafoya, Leo Tafoya, Natividad Duran Jr., and Vidal Candelaria.
