WARD -- Ralph "Babe" Ward, 59, an Albuquerque native who moved to California in 1974, passed away June 28, 2009, in Paso Robles, California. Like his father and grandfather before him, Babe was a carpenter working on many projects up and down the coast in the San Luis Obispo area. He was an avid fisherman and it didn't matter if he was fishing the Rio Grande box or some lake in New Zealand, he was happy as long as he had a fishing pole in his hand. In 1989, Babe had the good fortune to meet and marry Gina Denton. She was the love of his life and they were deeply committed to each other. Babe leaves behind a large circle of family and friends who loved him very much and who will miss him dearly. A celebration of Babe's life will be held at a later date He is preceded in death by his parents Malcolm and Celeste Ward; and his brothers Larry Ward and Jerry Ward, all of Albuquerque. He is survived by Gina Ward, his wife of 20 years, son Davin Ward, step daughter Amber Williams all from the Paso Robles area; step mother Elaine Ward, brothers Ronald Ward and wife Carmen of Albuquerque, and Dwight Ward and wife Chris of Savannah, Georgia.
