HITZEMANN -- Esther Mae Hitzemann, 87, passed quietly on June 2, 2009 after a prolonged illness. She is survived by her son, Dr. Robert Hitzemann; daughter, Holly Hitzemann; granddaughters Kristin and Heather Hitzemann and Laura Brandon; grandson, Vincent Brandon; sister Ella Fuqua; sister-in-law Doris Heindorn and daughter-in-law, Barbara Hitzemann. Ms Hitzemann was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and attended Norwood High School. She met and married her husband Orville Hitzemann in 1944. Orville passed away in July, 2001. They were married for 57 years, and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their children and grandchildren in Albuquerque, NM. Ms. Hitzemann was a wonderful singer, and enjoyed music with her husband, relatives, friends and church throughout her life. She also enjoyed writing, and inspired her children to write often. Ms. Hitzemann and her husband travelled the world, and lived in Europe, Central America, and South America for several years. She is remembered by many for her great laugh, beautiful smile, and wit.
