WINN -- Jackie Lee Winn, SFC- US Army (Ret). November 26, 1929 to June 9, 2009. Jack honorably served his Country in the United States Army and retired after 20 years of service. After serving his Country he gave another 19 years to the University of New Mexico with the Campus Police and Ford Utilities. From that point forward Jack spent his days enjoying and spoiling his granddaughter Ashley. Jack was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, friend and neighbor. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, John Wayne, fishing, camping, building things, fixing things, a good cup of coffee and his family. Jack is survived by his wife of 54 years, Charlene H. Winn; his daughter, Tamma Williams (Irving Andrews); his granddaughter, Ashley Williams; brother, Lewis "Joe" George Winn Jr. (Holly Hardin) and cousins, Steve (Shawne) Weinberger and Shirley (John) Hayes. Jack was preceded in death by his parents Lewis George and Ruby Winn and by his twin brother, Robert H. Winn. A Memorial Service to celebrate Jack's life will be held at Glory Christian Fellowship, 2417 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Alb., NM 87112, on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 5:00 p.m., with Rev. Jenny Harrell presiding. The family would especially like to thank Presbyterian Hospice, Colin Byrd, our dear friends and church family at Glory.
